What I See In Thinkers Incorporated

ThinkersIncorporatedProfileImageAs Thinkers Incorporated finally gets under way, I find myself seeing an enormous amount of potential in this website. I see a place where intellectual expression is encouraged, ideas are shared and debated, and where people come to learn, be enlightened, and to become anchored in rationality. Thinkers Incorporated, I believe, has the potential to do all of these things and more.

I hope that us writers will provide insightful, applicable, and relevant material. Likewise, it is my wish that the viewers will discuss the ideas and arguments which we propose, and through discussion, I hope that everyone shall be made the better. Thinkers Incorporated is designed to be an outlet for rational creativity.

Once Thinkers Incorporated has gotten underway, a community, I hope, shall be created. Friendships and partnerships will spring forth, and hopefully last for quite some time into the future. I hope that we can overlook our differences, religious, political, or philosophical, and find the common ground. Each of us is a rational being that can think for himself. Regardless of whether we reach the right conclusion, simply attempting to find the right answer is enough to keep us bound together.

“Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it.” – Thomas Jefferson

Each of us will make errors as we discuss ideas and justify our beliefs. We will all fail at some point. However, we will remain strong and united where we allow reason to rule. By encouraging reason and being open to correction we remain upon the right path.

“I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.” – Galileo Galilei

Throughout our lives we are continually forced to determine how we should act. It is through reason that we can answer this question. Mankind has the gift of intellect for a reason. It is no accident that we posses the ability to think on an intelligent and comprehensible level. Let us use and sharpen our mental capacities. Let us become great thinkers together!

Reason is a potent weapon which anyone can learn to wield. To learn to reason effectively is to open the doors to a knew world, a world of intangible, untouchable, eternal, and yet very real objects. This world is incredibly wonderful, it is complex, and it is mind-boggling. This is the world which together we shall explore.

“The wise are instructed by reason, average minds by experience, the stupid by necessity and the brute by instinct.” – Cicero

Let us not be like fools, like animals. Let us instead seek wisdom and righteousness, let us reason. Where we come together to think, there we will grow and bond. There beliefs and values will be forged. Where we come together and contemplate, there we will build the world of the unseen, of the comprehensible, of the intangible.

“The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.” – Vincent Van Gogh

I hope that as a community we will develop bonds, learn from each other, sharpen our minds, and grow as individuals and thinkers. I hope that we will weather the storm and come out on the other side better and stronger than when we set sail. Thinkers Incorporated is here for that purpose. We shall master ourselves through reason, find the correct courses of action, and strive to find that which is good. I am excited to embark upon this journey with each of you.
